This project explores the role of XR in the visualization of bamboo design, the advantages of 3D scanning, discrete design principles, and material integration strategies. Our approach includes material analysis, morphology exploration, optimization, and parametric workflows to enhance adaptability and innovation. The process encompasses 3D scanning of raw bamboo, designing discrete units and connection rules, and aggregating units through topological optimization. This research emphasizes the potential of modern digital technologies and innovative methods in bamboo design, driving more effective and diverse bamboo architectural solutions while addressing the inherent limitations of the material.
