Yuting Chen is a cross-disciplinary designer and researcher from China, currently pursuing her PhD at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Design. Her research centers on immersive media, spatial narrative, and curatorial frameworks, particularly in relation to XR (Extended Reality) and cultural heritage. With a background in architecture, Yuting graduated with distinction from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. She later became a space and interaction designer in the new media art industry, working with AR/VR technologies and kinetic installations to explore the relationship between technology and spatial perception. Drawing from this foundation, she transitioned into curatorial practice, curating digital art exhibitions in Shanghai, London, Berlin, and Hong Kong. Her curatorial work emphasizes audience-centered experiences and the integration of emerging technologies into cultural storytelling. She currently serves as a peer reviewer for Cubic Journal and is developing an XR-based curation framework to support the preservation and activation of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
