Biography
Yuanxi Zhang (Carthy) currently serves as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant in the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She provides tutorial support for the digital media course SD5975 and is a certified Unreal Engine Silver Instructor. She holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Environmental Design, and her research interests encompass landscape design, urban systems and strategies, and the interplay between territory, society, and spatial complexes.
Her past professional experience includes conceptual design for the Shenzhen Tanglang Mountain Urban Observation Deck international competition, the design of the Foping Road historical and cultural district, and residential planning projects.
At The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, she has also contributed to MR game design and development, Unreal Engine virtual scene creation, game graphics design, and game logic structuring. Her areas of expertise span environmental design, landscape design, urban planning, game design, and interaction design, demonstrating strong capabilities in interdisciplinary teaching, research, and project practice.
